Restored whitewashed cottage in the west

Period restoration Kitchen and dining area timber beams table se

A traditional cottage in the south-west of Ireland – surrounded by beautiful landscape.

The white-washed cottage is tastefully restored without losing its character. The living room is spacious, with a wood-burning stove set into a traditional fireplace; the contrasting wooden floors and wooden beams add to the nature of the room.

The kitchen walls are painted white, and the doors and a staircase leading to the upstairs bedrooms are painted lime green – a beautiful contrast. A wood-burning stove and a low timber ceiling with hanging lanterns add to the cosy atmosphere.

The loft upstairs is above the sitting room. The two bedrooms upstairs are cuddled under slanted ceilings with skylights. Between them is the bathroom with a tub and walls lined with timber  –  painted pale blue.
